2008 OVER THE HILL CLASSIC

A Ski/Snowboard Event for Adults Age 50 and over

Mt Shasta Ski Park

Dear Senior Skier/Telemarker & Snowboarder:

We are most pleased to present Over the Hill Classic competition for seniors ages 50 and over at the Mt Shasta Board & Ski Park on Saturday, March 22 2007. The intent of this fun event is to demonstrate that seniors do possess a healthy competitive spirit. Seniors are as eager to measure their skills against the clock or in a personal competition with a friend or to experience the gates before the "pearly" ones. Even if you have never done "gates" before and possess intermediate skills, this event is still for you!
Besides all the FUN of this event it is also a noble cause as it is a fundraising event for Beautification of the City of Mt. Shasta.

This year's event is being dedicated to Event Organizer Gene Landsmann who passed away on February 26, 2008. We will all remember him for his enthusiasm and lover of the sport of skiing.

The Over the Hill Classic will be a fun two-run giant slalom on Lower BlackFox-to-Horizon ski runs. All participants are required to wear a helmet!

Ribbon awards will be presented to the first three finishers of the two runs combined time in each of the below age categories, for both downhill skiers/telemarkers and snowboarders, male and female:

NEW THIS YEAR: All the participants will be entered in a drawing for great prizes donated by local merchants and businesses. Additional tickets for the drawing will also be available for sale the day of the event. Prizes include: A new pair of skis from the Fifth Season, Season Pass from the Mt Shasta Ski Park, Brunch for two at the Mt Shasta Resort, and many many more.

AGE GROUPS

To register simply download Registration Form and Liability Release or sign one at registration on race day. S end in Registration Form and Liability Release Form with payment by check. A limited edition of this OVER THE HILL CLASSIC poster - from an original water color painted by the renowned Mt. Shasta artist Jeanette Brown - will be available for SALE! All proceeds will go towards the CITY BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT for the CITY OF MT. SHASTA!
